James Alison Alison is a Catholic theologian, priest, and author who was trained as a systematic theologian. His personal website offers talks, essays, and videos about mimetic theory, desire, and conflict. Archbishop of Canterburry, Rowan Williams, commented on Alison’s book Faith Beyond Resentment that “The very best theological books leave you with a feeling that perhaps it’s time you became a Christian.
