Adam invites viewers to enjoy his interview of author, former white supremacist, and Raven Award winner Christian Picciolini to understand the issue of white supremacy. Then Adam dives into the American gun problem by citing statistics of gun ownership, explaining there are more gun stores than grocery stores, and lamenting the high numbers of suicides by gun. Americans are 4% of the world’s population, yet own 42% of all the privately owned gas in the globe.
While the NRA claims gun violence is a mental health issue, Adam challenges this idea by inviting the organization to support expanded mental health care. Another culprit for gun violence cited by the NRA is the violence in video games, but Japan has more violent video games, with fewer gun violence incidences.
Adam explores what we can do to change this situation.
