McKenna, emeritus professor of French language and literature at Loyola University in Chicago, earned a Ph.D. in Romance Languages [French &amp; Spanish] from Johns Hopkins University after receiving his B.A. in French from Holy Cross College. In addition to acting as the host of the French club, he taught courses in French Literature of 17th, 19th, 20th centuries, Stylistics, French culture and civilization, and Masterpieces of European Literature and Comparative Literature (in translation). He now teaches inmates currently incarcerated in the Illinois prison system literature and theology.<\/p>\n<p>For the decade between 1996 and 2006, he was the Editor-in-Chief of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/muse.jhu.edu\/journals\/contagion\/\">Contagion: Journal of Violence, Mimesis, and Culture<\/a>, 1996-2006<\/em>. Andrew is the author of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Violence-Difference-Girard-Derrida-Deconstruction\/dp\/0252062027\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1437064988&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=violence+and+difference\">Violence and Difference: Girard, Derrida, and Deconstruction<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew analyzed the Greek tragedy <em>Antigone<\/em> in the three-part video series <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/LhEEBm-IGtU\"><em>Reimagining Literary Masterpieces<\/em><\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column el_class=&#8221;circle&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2690&#8243; img_size=&#8221;&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text] Andrew McKenna Dr. Andrew J.
